All of our instructors are safe. Out of work for an uncertain amount of time, but safe. Many students have also checked in and are safe. For these things were are most grateful.

The studio is unscathed, mostly. We were INCREDIBLY LUCKY!!! It smells a little funky in there due to a large puddle in the bathroom. There’s a minor roof issue that needs some love, but finding a roofer is going to be hard for a while. As of this posting, there is still no power, however Entergy’s latest predictions says power restoration for Orleans Parish will happen by September 8. Hopefully, that’s a conservative statement and the lights, and more importantly air conditioning, will be working sooner.

What next? Once we have power and the studio can air out a bit, some classes will resume, we hope. The calendar shows that there will be no classes before September 8 and it will likely change. Depending on how things go, we could resume classes next week, if there are students. If you have registered for a series or booked a private party, feel free to check in with us through email *click here* or text Kryss (504) 382-5199. We want to get back to dancing ASAP. We know we’re all going to be coming back from different places, at different times, and returning to different situations. Remember to breathe!

Some studio fundraising will happen in some form, classes, online shows, something else so that we can keep the lights on once power is restored. We’ll figure it out and let you know.

There are varying levels of clean up and repair to be done across South Louisiana. Some of our dance sisters further South did not fair so well. Businesses, camps and homes were lost. If you are looking for organizations to donate to, these are a few that could use your help….
