Fluid Yoga

Born out of the "opening sequence" of Dancemeditation, Fluid Yoga is a continuous series of poses repeated and aligned with the breath to achieve deep stretching and a calmed state. Fluid yoga can provide relief from sore and tight muscles as well as stress and anxiety.
From the Dancemeditation.org website: "In the Dancemeditation lexicon, this breath-based practice emphasizes equality of awareness in all stages of the movement. Breathing motivates and roots the oceanic repetitions, which are the salient feature of this distinctive style. These hypnotic oscillations lull the cognitive mind and accentuate an understanding that the act of stretching, rather than holding, is continuous motion. All transitional paths between extensions, as well as full-kinesphere reach, are exploratory arenas in which attentive motion is the key to release. This method of engaging in our body's fascial network leads to enhanced strength and fluid, healing ease."
