No. Because our instructors are independent contractors and not employees, Crescent Lotus can not offer studio memberships. Each instructor sets their own price schedule and collects their own money.

Yes and No. Most classes are on-going, weekly classes and you can arrive a few minutes early and pay a Drop In rate or Discounted Rate for multi-class purchases. Intro Pole Goddess (Mondays at 7:15pm) is offered In Sessions Only. The classes are progressive, building off the previous material taught. For this we ask that you come to the first class of the session and pay for the session in full.

Proper attires varies slightly depending on the class but the safest option is t-shirt/tank top and yoga/sweat pants. Barefoot is always an option as street shoes are not allowed in the studio.

This is up to the individual instructor and the class being taught. Learning to dance is not a spectator sport. Some people never want to be on stage. they dance for themselves. Dance is a powerful art, with great healing potential. At Crescent Lotus, we want our students to feel empowered and confident. We create a safe space with curtains and doors to be pulled closed during class. Respect your fellow students and ask the instructor about guests, in advance. We have a lobby in case your ride needs a place to hang out while you dance. There are several restaurants and bars within walking distance as well. Of course, if they want to participate in class, that’s the preferred option.

No. The studio is only open when classes are in session. If you need to drop off money or you would like to take a look at our little space, please call Kryss 504-382-5199, to set an appointment.

Crescent Lotus is not open unless there is a class in progress. Most instructors arrive 15 minutes before start time and hang out for 15 minutes after. It’s always a good idea to check the Home Page Calendar and News! to make sure there have not been any cancellations. Many instructors have children, sometimes the weather is just too dangerous to be out driving around and as many of our instructors are also performing, sometimes classes get cancelled. We try our best to Post a News! alert and remove the class from the schedule for that day.
